Don Aslett's Clutter-Free!: Finally & Forever
This is the book that got me started on decluttering.....and eventually all the Don Aslett clutter books. The letters from his readers are both humorous and inspiring. Don Aslett is a godsend!
Don Aslett's Clutter-Free!: Finally & Forever
I thought this book was excellent! Don Aslett has a lively, easy to read style. The book is a compilation of testimonies from people who have either a problem with clutter or who have finally overcome their problem with clutter. It is inspiring, interesting and helpful.

I recommend "For Packrats Only" as a prerequisite for this one. This is like having extra add-ons. He says, you asked for more about...(so what most people have extra clutter problems with, he gives more on. I liked the paper stuff and gifts. I have problems in those areas the most. Most is from your fellow Don Aslett dejunkers. This is extra motivation, but if you can't get both, get the other first. It is funny, as is the other.

After reading Don's book "Is There Life After HOusework?" I was very excited to read more of his books. But to me this one was an oxymoron. The book seemed cluttered with reviewes. The reviewes may make one feel like they are not alone in the state of clutter that they live, but it was hard to find the tips on how to remove the clutter. Maybe check some of his other books on clutter first, then you might enjoy this one after you are clutter free.
Don Aslett's Clutter-Free!: Finally & Forever
I'm writing primarily to take exception with the most recent reviewer who returned the book. It's more a matter of preference than he or she is wrong and I'm right. I purchased this book in 1996 and have read it several times since, mostly for the motivation and change of attitude. I've given copies of it as gifts to family members. I love this book because it shares other peoples experience which is often very funny and is very helpful to see the ways that hanging onto too much stuff is a net and gross negative that can affect and bleed, (at times literally)in so many ways into ones life. Following through with this book is work and at times the work is painstaking and draining. Having someone assist at the right time, (who is detached from your stuff) can be very helpful, but not by any means necessary. The rewards: in a way you get your life back. To much stuff can be a form of malignancy in its own way. It can weigh a person down emotionally and block ones vision field for true dreams and accomplishment.

Don Aslett is an author of choice for organization and de-clutter books, paperback, easy to read, adequate price, I would check out a library before ordering. Why pay for it when you can read it for free?
