The Magical Land of Noom (Books of Wonder)
This book was read to me in the second grade (that would be about 1964) by my all-time favorite teacher. I haven't seen it or heard of it since. A few years ago, the title just popped into my head and a search yeilded republication. It is amazing after all those LONG years, the things a seven-year-old retained from being read to.This is a treasure that needs to be handed down to the next generation.A can't-miss journey, either back to childhood or ahead to new territory.

my great grandfather was given this book by his parents in the early 20's (orriginally published in '22). He gave it to my mother, who in turn gave it to me. It is tattered, and some of the pages are falling out but besides that its in good condition. I absolutely loved this book, it is so creative, i am actually going to go out and buy one for my mom just for the ... of it, and then one for my 9 year old cousin.

I was given a copy of this book when I was a child by my grandparents. I am now purchasing a copy for my granddaughters. How wonderful that Books of Wonder is once again making this treasure, this old friend, available to young readers today,
The Magical Land of Noom (Books of Wonder)
If my memory has served me well all these years there was a sequence in the story about the kids having to go through a rain storm of India Ink. This was one of my all time favorite children's books.

I also read this book many years ago as a child and have never forgotten it. It contains many wonderful characters and adventures that are truly memorable. This is a book that has survived over time and remains a story that lets children use their imaginations. It remains one of my all-time favorite children's books and I am lucky enough to have two original copies. I am delighted that the book is now being published again so that I can share it with my young nephews and nieces.

Ah! To relive the memories of reading this book again. I have read this book many times when I was a child so long ago. I remember building a box just like Johnny and Janey did and trying to fly to The Land of Noom just as they did. I would lay under the stars at night and try to imagine what it would be like to go to the Moon, not knowing just what the future would bring. My mother still has the first edition of that book. My two sisters and three brothers sometimes hint that they would like to have that copy. I have purchased six copies of this book for my mother, so each will have their own copy at Christmas this year. Such nostalgia! I recommend this book for all children to read.
