This abbreviated version of the original Velveteen Rabbit is perfect for my 3 year old nephew. He is still a bit too young to comprehend the longer version, but this little treasure with the colorful pictures and shorter story will entertain him for a few years. When he's older, I'll get him the original.

I remember reading this book as a child so when it showed up on my first grader's reading list I couldn't resist. She loved it too. It's a classic. Who doesn't want to believe the toys we loved so much are real and feel the same way we do?
